‘We smiled when we first met in the dressing room, Tony helped me a lot in the beginning and he was a big factor when I had to adjust to this new life. His wife also helped my wife in the process.’
Alaba also said of his reunion with Carlo Ancelotti: ‘It is very happy to be working with him again. He is an honest man and his experience is valuable.’
‘He used to talk to me in German when we first met. So he definitely learned some German! We have now switched to English,’ Alaba said.
